Job Summary

Advertising, Promotions, and Marketing Managers develop ideas and strategies to develop the interest of persons in a particular organization, project or product. They work in tandem with organization heads or other staff to discuss budgets, prospective marketing plans and the choice of marketing media.


Duties

Advertising, Promotions, and Marketing Managers generally carry out the following duties:

  • Meet with department heads or staff to fine tune the financials, marketing plans and advertising media choices

  • Plan methods of promotion such as specials, coupons and sales

  • Plan which forms of media are best suited for advertising the client

  • Conduct research on customer and business opportunities for advertisement possibilities

 

Qualifications

A bachelor’s degree is generally required. A level of work experience in the field or related fields is typical of Advertising, Promotions, and Marketing Managers.
