Given the success and interest from customers and channel partners towards HP’s exciting services and solutions for Personal Systems Device as a Service we are accelerating the development of the service organization around the world. As part of the HP EMEA DaaS Solutions Design team, we are looking for an experienced Solution Architect for a customer-facing presales role to help us accelerate growth in the Personal Systems Service business with Enterprise Customers in UK&I.  You will be key member of the Pursuit Team, working in close collaboration with sales, technical consultants and delivery teams, and with a lot of support from the HP EMEA management and World-Wide executives. 


Opportunity Analysis

•Identify services opportunities for HP in customer's enterprise information technology and business processes

•Provide feedback to portfolio management on customer needs and competitive positioning

•Participate in customer workshops to position end to end solutions which best address customer needs

•Work with customers on Services Business Cases and Total Cost of Ownership models

•Support Sales to qualify service opportunities for HP

Solution Design and Development

•Work with customers to shape, interpret and help define their IT requirements to ensure they address business needs

•Analyze customer inventories, produce services cost models, asset leasing and takeover scenarios

•Design services, service level agreements and transformation plans to meet customers’ objectives

•Create innovative delivery approaches to meet real client needs

•Develop technical proposals, statements of work, transition plans, pricing exhibits

•Capture risks, assumptions, design mitigation plans and calculate associated costs

Solution-Pursuit Integration

•Lead solution reviews with internal delivery organizations to approve solution design and cost models

•Identify opportunities to leverage portfolio, delivery and strategic investments in services

•Review and provide input to financial assumptions, commercial T&Cs and contract definitions

•Define new approaches for transition and transformation, integration with client processes and delivery tools

•Validate cost and price benchmarks using comparable deal history, competitor and market data

Client/Customer Relationship

•Build strong professional relationships with key IT and business executives in UK&I

•Apply strong consultative selling techniques to advance opportunities

•Be perceived as a trusted technical advisor by the customer

Education (degree) and professional experience required

• University or College degree

• Minimum 5 years of service delivery/support/project management experience in End User Compute /Workplace Services

• Pre-sales or Solution Architecture experience in designing end user support solutions would be a big advantage


•Extensive hands on experience in end user workplace services preferably in end user support, device management and PC software management

•Demonstrate expert knowledge of end user computing hardware and software solutions

•Keep informed about Workplace Services industry news, market players, personal systems, enterprise mobility management solutions

•Apply deep understanding of technical innovations and trends to solving customer business problems

Personal skills and qualities
• Customer oriented with strong presentation and negotiation skills

• Fluent English language skills to write, present and negotiate proposals and contracts
• Strong team work and leadership skills to drive pursuit team members towards contract signature
• Ability to interact comfortably with all levels of customer management
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

Technical skills
• ITIL or COBIT certification

• IT support and governance processes & tools knowledge

• Expert knowledge of MS Excel, ability to use advanced data analysis functions
