This requisition will remain open until filled; however, consideration will be given to applicants in order of applicat ion date.

Primary Focus:

This position is accountable for application development of Enbridge’s Public Web Presence (e.g. Enbridge.com) and associated Content Management System (CMS). The successful candidate will be required to perform application support activities to operate, develop and maintain the CMS application and related websites.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Development responsibilities

    • Technical development of enterprise-wide websites utilizing the corporate CMS platform - Sitecore

    • Application break/fix support and development

    • Application enhancement and testing

    • Participate in the testing and quality assurance process for the Sitecore environments

    • Assist in the development and maintenance of corporate standards, policies and procedures related to the use of the Public Web systems within the Enbridge environment

    • Perform project-related activities

  • Responsible for incident and problem management by ensuring escalations from various business areas are resolved quickly and effectively:

    • Primary contact to respond to client issues, up to Director level

    • Communicate status of incidents and problems

    • Troubleshoot issues independently or with assistance from other team members

    • Facilitate resolution and escalation of incidents

    • Follow up with the clients to ensure customer satisfaction

    • Ensure incidents and problems related to IT services provided by other departments are resolved, communicated and documented in a timely manner

  • Establish a strong understanding of business areas to ensure that IT requirements meet the needs of the business and are adequately and appropriately represented and supported:

    • Break down complex business problems in order to translate into business requirements and recommend the best solution

    • Project activities as required including: solution research, planning, testing, training and implementation activities

  • Engage in Continual Service Improvement:

    • Documenting solutions and operating procedures

    • Mentoring and training entry level team members, co-op and summer students


Qualifications:

  • A university degree or diploma in Computing Science, Computer Engineering or related discipline is preferred

  • A minimum of 4 years related work experience

  • Strong understanding of .NET technologies: ASP.NET, C#

  • Sitecore CMS experience is preferred

  • Experience working with front end technologies like: HTML, CSS, Javascript & AJAX

  • Experience with front-end design, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe In-design

  • Experience with automated build, and deployment technologies and processes

  • Experience with the following technologies is an asset: Microsoft Visual Studio 2010, Subversion, Sitecore CMS, Coveo

  • Understanding of server-side CSS preprocessing platforms, such as SASS

  • Understanding of accessibility (WCAG) principles

  • Customer service and CMS administration experience in a corporate office environment is required

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with an aptitude for problem solving are required
