Position Summary Information

Supporting the Digital Products Director, on small to medium-size web projects and CMS enhancements. S/he will primarily work remotely with occasional hours in the office.

Essential Duties Summary

  • Help maintain and improve the website which is on the Drupal 7 platform; able to aid in migration to Drupal 8

  • Collaborate with the digital and editorial teams to create and evolve multimedia and web pieces to populate the website as well as various social media channels and digital signs

  • Help support the college’s content managers

  • Participate in QA testing and bug fixes

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Required Qualification Summary

  • Advanced knowledge of Drupal 7 and 8, able to build and style views, able to troubleshoot reported issues and resolve or escalate as appropriate

  • Proficient with modern web standards, including HTML5 and CSS3.

  • Proficient with JavaScript, particularly the jQuery framework

  • Experience working with responsive design frameworks, familiarity with Bootstrap

  • Demonstrated success in executing and delivering small to medium-sized projects

  • Good knowledge of user experience and user interaction design principles

  • Comfortable working remotely and independently while maintaining close collaboration with colleagues on tasks and timelines by telephone and electronically. Able to multitask. Available for occasional on-site meetings.

  • Comfortable using git in a team workflow

  • Excellent English writing and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualification Summary

  • Familiar with SVG imagery

  • Familiar with Acquia Enterprise site management

  • Module development

  • UI and visual design skills
